Full-Service Passport Locations, Service Canada Centres and Postal Outlets

All locations here other than Halifax are not full passport offices. So, if you need an urgent or rush passport, you'll have to go to Halifax in person. All locations other than Halifax just forward your application somewhere else, so if you're able to send in your application by mail and don't need it quickly, you mind as well do so. Often times, these receiving agents will still have to take all of your documents to send away (except for a pilot project in New Glasgow).
   
All non-Halifax locations listed in Nova Scotia cannot accept:

• Urgent and Express applications.
• Applications where a passport that is still valid for more than one year is submitted with the new passport application.
• Applications accompanied by evidence—either through a statutory declaration (PPTC 203) or verbally—that the current passport has been lost, stolen, damaged, mutilated, or is inaccessible.
• Applications where the applicant does not have a guarantor and is using a Statutory Declaration in Lieu of Guarantor (PPTC 132).
• Children's applications, if only one of the parents is participating.
• All requests other than general passport applications, including:
  • Requests for a free replacement passport.
